Banking & Financial

Forcht Group of Kentucky’s roots in the banking industry trace back to 1985 when the group opened its first bank with $1.5 million in assets.

First Financial Credit, started in 1992, has loan offices in Corbin (two locations), London, Whitley City, Middlesboro, Somerset, Elizabethtown, Hazard, Pikeville, Prestonsburg, Maysville, Russell Springs and Richmond.  First Financial Credit offers small personal loans and other consumer loan services.

Nearly a quarter century later Forcht Bank (www.forchtbank.com) operates 35 banking centers in 11 Kentucky counties - Boone, Fayette, Grant, Green, Jefferson, Knox, Laurel, McCreary, Pulaski, Taylor and Whitley. Forcht Bank’s total assets top $1 billion, making it one of the top 10 largest banks based in Kentucky, according to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).

Forcht Bank has consistently ranked among the top banks for safety and security by Florida-based Bauer Financial, Inc., the nation’s leading independent bank rating and research firm.  Forcht Bank has received Bauer Financial’s five-star “superior rating” for six consecutive quarters, and the 14th consecutive quarter that Bauer Financial has recommended Forcht Bank based on its safety and soundness.

While Forcht Bank continues to grow and thrive, the banks and our employees remain committed to the communities they serve. Loan decisions are made by local people, and our relationship officers know their neighbors by name.  Our employees are involved in local charity and civic functions, from coaching Little League teams to worshiping in their local church on Sunday.
