The Forcht Group is seeking a Multimedia Advertising Sales Assistant responsible for supporting the sales team in building and implementing inspiring media and advertising campaigns for local and neighborhood businesses. We connect the best local businesses in Lexington, KY with the best consumers through our network of newspapers, magazines, local guides, and digital platforms.

This position works directly with the sales team, advertisers and agencies on a regular basis to ensure campaigns run as directed.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily.

  • Build customer connections through appointments and follow-up.
  • Monitor and maintain social media relations.
  • Develop prospects and leads for sales team.
  • Create advertising presentations, slide shows and proposals for print, online, and social media campaigns.
  • Develop and maintain accurate client files, schedules, documentation, and communication.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the sales pipeline / funnel for sales team and provide weekly/monthly/ quarterly forecasts.
  • Schedule and fulfill multiple client project deliverables (social media, ads, online digital visuals video).
  • Create multiple weekly Constant Contact newsletters.
  • Shoot, edit, and optimize photos / video, for web and print.
  • Provide social media implementation across all platforms and channels.
  • Coordinate and manage off-site promotions as needed.

  • Proficiency in: MS Office Suite / Google Office Suite; PowerPoint; Constant Contact; or comparable CRM; WordPress.
  • Proficiency in digital campaign management and tracking; web metrics; Google Ad Words certification a plus.
  • Reliable transportation and clean driving record required.  (Some evening and weekend availability expected for events, promotions, networking, and community involvement, as needed.)

Required Education and Experience

  • Minimum of two (2) years professional experience supporting outside sales (preferably media related).
  • Associates degree in advertising, marketing, or strategic communication.

Other Requirements

  • May be required to attend outside activities to stay abreast of new developments and best practices.

  • Ability to travel to other locations as needed.
  • Ability to work on a flexible schedule when needed that at times may include late working hours or weekend hours.
