Summary

The ATM/Debit Card Clerk is responsible for ensuring that the ordering, maintaining and fraud monitoring of ATM/Debit Cards is completed daily.  This includes reviewing and maintaining reports relating to closed, compromised or exception cards and completing Reg E Dispute Chargeback research, filing, monitoring and closure.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. This list contains primary and back up duties as needed.

  • Maintain current ATM/Debit Cards, order new cards and review card records for accuracy of new or updated information.
  • Monitor and communicate fraud report information.
  • Maintain card reports related to closed, compromised or exception cards.
  • Perform Reg E Dispute Chargeback research, filing, monitoring and closure.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to branches, call center and customers when research is needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • General knowledge of bank operations and procedures.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office products and bank information systems.
  • General background in financial institution operating policies and procedures and banking regulations including an understanding of financial institution products and services; particularly those that pertain to the area of assignment.
  • Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in handling sensitive documents or other confidential information.
  • Ability to communicate in speaking and writing, in order to convey information tactfully and effectively to all levels of employees and customers.
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar; including the ability to comprehend written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents.
  • Ability to manage time and be efficient and effective in the completion of assignments.
  • Ability to embrace and support the Bank’s management philosophy.

  • Ability to work on a flexible schedule when needed that at times may include late working hours or weekend hours.
Requirements:

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or the equivalency. 
  • One (1) year of previous office experience; banking experience is highly desirable.

 

Other Requirements

  • May be required to attend activities outside the bank to stay abreast of new developments, best practices and statutory and regulatory changes.
  • Pursuant to the Drug Free Workplace Act of 1988, all employees must remain drug free and alcohol free when reporting to work and while engaged in any work related activities.
  • Must adhere to all Bank Secrecy Act regulations and requirements.
